At District level Agriculture Department is headed by Joint Director of Agriculture . Deputy Director of Agriculture is the head of Dist. Agriculture Training Centre, Kagati wherein trainings are imparted to farming community & extension staff of the District. At Taluk level Asst. Director of Agriculture is the head of the office. The details of six Taluks Asst. Directors of Agriculture is as follows.

Under each Asst. Director of Agriculture, Agriculturral Officer/Asst. Agricultural Officer is working as Raitha Samparka Kendra head(RSK). In Chickballapur District there are 26 RSKs. The Department of Agriculture is implementing various District and State Sector Schemes in addition to Centrally sponsored schemes. Under these schemes various Inputs like Seeds, Gypsum, Zinc Sulphate, Boron, Green Manure Seeds and Farm Machinery like Power Tillers and Hitech Implements like Rotovators, Cultivators, Furrow Openers, Disc Harrows and Plant Protection Chemicals and equipments , Micro Irrigation systems like Sprinklers, Drip Irrigation etc., are being supplied to Farmers though RSKs at 50% subsidy or maximum subsidy fixed by the Government whichever is less.
